Information we process

We process content and order information that you provide, including uploaded images, generation settings, cart selections, shipping details, and contact information needed to complete checkout and fulfillment.

We also process technical and diagnostic data (for example, request metadata and error events) to keep the service secure, detect abuse, and improve reliability.

How we use and share data

We use your information to provide the service, process payments, generate your mosaic, create and fulfill orders, and provide support.

We share limited data with service providers that operate parts of the platform, such as payment processing (Stripe), print/shipping fulfillment partners, hosting infrastructure, and error-monitoring tools (including Sentry). We do not sell your personal data.

If you grant marketing consent, we may use Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) to measure ad performance, understand conversion paths, and support retargeting or lookalike audiences. When marketing consent is granted at checkout, we may also send a server-side purchase conversion to Meta (Conversions API) with hashed email, order value, and Meta cookie identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc. Browser and server purchase events share the same event identifier so Meta can deduplicate them. No server-side Meta conversion is sent when marketing consent is off. Meta Pixel is not loaded before marketing consent is granted in regions where we require opt-in, and you can change that choice at any time from Cookie settings.

If you grant analytics consent, we load Vercel Analytics to collect aggregated page-view and usage metrics that help us understand how the product is used and improve it. Vercel Analytics is not loaded when analytics consent is off.

Automated image processing and AI enhancement

We use automated image-processing tools to locate, align, and prepare your eye photo for artistic mosaic generation. If you choose the optional AI enhancement, an AI model creates an artistic interpretation of your iris based on your photo — including filling in areas hidden by eyelids or reflections and adjusting lighting and color. The enhanced image is a creative reconstruction, not an exact reproduction of your eye, and you review and approve it before it is used.

We do not use your eye photos to identify you, authenticate you, or compare you against other people, and we do not perform biometric recognition of any kind. Photos you upload and images we generate are used solely to create your artwork and fulfill your order. When AI enhancement is used, your photo is processed by our AI service provider (currently OpenAI) solely to generate the enhanced image; it is not used by us to train AI models.

Region-based cookie defaults

Visitors in the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland see a blocking cookie banner and must opt in before optional analytics and marketing tools load. In other regions, we may enable analytics and marketing cookies by default on first visit so ad measurement works without an extra click. If we cannot detect your region, we apply the stricter opt-in default.

You can review or change categories at any time using Cookie settings in the footer, regardless of region.

Storage and retention

Uploads, generated outputs, and order metadata are retained according to operational and fulfillment needs. Retention windows can vary by order state and infrastructure policies.

Raw uploaded photos — including your eye photo and any AI-enhanced iris images derived from it — are cleaned up on a short retention window after upload. Generated mosaic outputs are retained longer so you can re-download purchases and we can provide order support.

Your choices and rights

You can manage cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Rejecting or revoking marketing consent prevents Meta Pixel from loading for future page views and events, and prevents new server-side Meta purchase conversions. Rejecting or revoking analytics consent prevents Vercel Analytics from loading.

Security and updates

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy over time as the product evolves. Material updates will be reflected by revising the date below.
